German Society for robot-assisted Urology – DRUS

Robot-assisted urology is a very young discipline, only arriving in clinics in 2000. In the United States, radical prostatectomy is now impossible to imagine without the use of surgical robots. There, around 80% of prostatectomies performed are robot-assisted. The DGRU is in active contact with the European Robotic Urology Society (ERUS) and other medical societies involved in robot-assisted urology. It addition to the exchange of practical experience, the DGRU promotes research within the national and international scientific community. The German Robotic Urology Symposium (DRUS) is the central scientific medical event of the DGRU. The live display of surgical procedures, the so-called "Live-Surgery" represents the focus of the symposium with TOP surgeons. " Interplan has organised the DRUS Symposium since 2009.
