German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases – DGVS

The German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases (DGVS) was founded in 1913 as a scientific society for the study of the digestive system. Today, the DGVS unites over 5 000 physicians and scientists from the field of gastroenterology under one roof. The DGVS promotes highly successful projects and trials, organizes congresses and training courses and actively supports young scientists.

Interplan has collaborated closely and successfully with the DGVS since the early 90's.
Since 2006, the Visceral Medicine Congress (formerly known as the Gastroenterology Congress) has been jointly hosted by the DGVS and the German Society for General and Visceral Surgery and is today the leading national congress in visceral medicine.
